Money clips fall into the that's-useful-but-I'd-probably-never ...

Keeping your cash close to you

If you're an executive with a wallet that bulges, then maybe a money clip, which would keep your bills lined up neatly, is just the thing for you.

Money clips fall into the that's-useful-but-I'd-probably-never-buy-one-for-myself category. Most people simply place their bills into their wallet-and that's usually the end of it, until they need to remove the money to buy something. That's when the money can fall to the ground.

If anything, money clips are probably the type of item relatively few people are really interested in. That doesn't mean you can't use these items in a marketing capacity, however. And it certainly doesn't mean you can't use them as gifts. But what it does mean is that since fewer people use money clips than use, say, pens, you'll have to be careful when it comes to giving them out. Once you've determined who fits the profile of someone who would use a money clip, you can determine what kind of money clip you want to buy. If the gift is for a fellow executive, then dig down deep and buy a nice one.
